Mooving on up!

I have to admit something here. I'm a bad mother. I hate throwing birthday parties! All the mess and stress, and after it's over where do you put all those gifts?? Well, this year when Benjamin's birthday came around, a private school in town was having a fall festival PLUS cousins were in town - instant party and no work for me! Yep, I'm a bad mom. Ben has never had a "real" party. But he did get to "milk a cow" - which ended up being his favorite activity....

Jump in some inflatables....

race through inflatables....

ride a train...(Even Nathan & Aaron agreed to ride, what good sports!)...

stopped to pose for a picture (I didn't risk making them pose for long)...

decorate his own cake...(look closely, it's a football field)
(Notice the water guns...the boys had water gun fights, just no pictures for that)

blow out candles...
(Sarah even came in for it, but somehow didn't end up in the pictures.)

and open a few gifts.

Happy Birthday, Benjamin! I love you more than you can ever say!

Maybe next year he'll have a "real" party and get to invite all those girls
he wanted to invite this year.

Oh Benjamin, you're getting too big! When I saw some of the pictures, I thought it was your brothers at first! Wow! And you got to milk a COW? That's awesome. Happy Birthday, big boy!

How funny...Lindsey and I were thinking about you on the same day.
I was actually wondering if you are homeschooling this year. I couldn't remember (or maybe just never knew) what you decided to do. If so, how is it going??
Ben just looks too old in these pictures. I still remember bouncing him on my legs in the waiting room when Papa was in the hospital. I want to say that it seems just like yesterday, but it doesn't. :) I've had too many kids since then so it seems like 20 years ago, ha! But I haven't seen Benjamin in so long that it's hard to believe that he could be this big. He is still about 4 years old in my mind.
I'm cracking up laughing that a "real" party to him includes girls.
